July is the perfect month to reignite your journaling practice and unlock new insights.
With its long days and warm nights, July is an incredible time to dive into self-discovery, creativity and deep reflections in your journal pages.
It’s also the halfway point of the year and a great chance to look back on everything you’ve accomplished – and what’s still on your wish list.

1. The next time you’re watching TV or listening to music, pick up your journal and draw some floral doodles in the margins.
Art journaling is a simple and easy pastime. And it actually has many great benefits to your mental health. Doodling engages and calms your mind. And it lowers the stress hormone cortisol and boosts creativity.
2. Use your journal to track your daily workouts, walks, meditation sessions and other goals you’re working towards.
Set some monthly goals that are achievable. Then draw out a monthly calendar in your journal with boxes to tick off each time you complete that day’s activity.
3. Write about gratitude in your journal as a powerful journaling technique that reduces stress, boosts happiness and improves your sleep.
Gratitude journaling is especially recommended if you’re feeling depressed, unmotivated, overwhelmed or anxious.
